Stream retaining wall
1/9/25 – Just received notice that, despite having brought materials to the site, there has been a paperwork error by the contractors for the council and this has meant the works have been deferred – yet again – until May 2026 at the earliest. Very disappointing.
20/8/25 – From Alan Meyrick – Just a very quick update. Works are due to begin after the bank holiday, so the 26th August is the start date. The OWC (Ordinary water course consent) has come back fine. That will allow us enough time to complete the job prior to the 1st October assuming the weather stays good.
4/8/25 – From Alan Meyrick – Anytime now, we are just waiting for all the various bodies to come back saying they are happy with our Ordinary Watercourse Consent application and our method of works. Should be within the next few weeks. I will let you know as soon as permissions have been granted.
22/5/25 – From Alan Meyrick – I have raised the order for the contractors to carry out works. I just need to go through the process of obtaining ordinary water course consent, this normally takes three weeks or so. I would say the works will be done within the next few months. I know this has dragged on for a long, long time, but hopefully by the end of the summer works would of been completed. I shall keep you posted.
