- Matters arising and action sheet:
Pothole repairs: ongoing. It was agreed that individuals should continue to report potholes, as it was the best way of getting action.
Stream Wall Repairs: Jon Allen reported that Shropshire County Council has responded to our concerns and that an officer had visited the site with him to inspect the walls. He agreed that significant repair work was required and that he would set this out in a letter in due course. However, there was no money in this year’s budget for the repairs, so they would be included in next year’s schedule. Action: follow up if no letter received .
Meeting with Pearce Cycles and Forestry England: Jon Allen reported that the meeting had been held which had led to improvements. Tania Peppiatt suggested that a schedule of meetings could be put on the Notice Board, and Jon Allen agreed to do this.
Stream Maintenance: Peter Marquis and Jack Chapman agreed to arrange a date for the removal of soil at the lower end of the stream.
Defibrillator awareness session 5 October: this is going ahead and posters have been distributed. Tania Peppiatt asked if a list of phone numbers of people in the village, who had access to the defib unit and were willing to transport the unit in an emergency, could be organised. It was agreed that anyone who was willing should send their phone number to Jon Allen.
Finance Report: Agreed that a £20 petty cash float should be set up for small incidental expenses.
- AOB; John Williams reported that there could be some progress in sight regarding the 3 phase electric programme for the village. He will keep the parish informed.
