Climate Impact tool

Lorraine Waumsley from Lightfoot wrote:  It occurred to me that you might not know about the Impact Tool that has been developed by The Impact Tool produced by the Centre for Sustainable Energy and Exeter University.  https://impact-tool.org.uk/  If you click on calculate and on the next page use the drop down arrow to  choose parish areas, you can then type in Hopton Castle and get the carbon footprint per household for your parish.  You have a choice of consumption per household (which covers CO2 emmissions from household demand for goods and services from anywhere); or Territorial (which covers  CO2 emmissions originating within the parish.)  The difference between the two is stark, highlighing the environmental impact of agriculture.  I’ve attached the report that I’ve generated for you.  The bottom of the report poses questions that you might like to consider.  We in BC used this to demonstrate that 46% of BC CO2 emmission were because we are off the Gas grid and like yourselves rely on oil for heating.  Our rationale for developing a renewable energy based community energy project.
